**My matches** is everything you are playing in, across every competition: challenges waiting for your answer, matches to play, your recent results and your club rating in each sport. This article also covers entering a competition and the club rankings.

## Before you start

- Your membership must be active to enter a competition.
- The menu has Me > My matches, and Club > Competitions with **All competitions**, **Club rankings** and **Wallboards**.

## What My matches shows

Open Me > My matches. The page shows, from the top:

- **Your club rating** in each sport you have played, with how many rated matches it comes from. Press one for your results in that sport, each with how far it moved your rating.
- **Share my mobile and email with people I am drawn against, so we can arrange our match.** See "Sharing your contact details" below.
- **Waiting for you:** a ladder challenge to answer, with the date to answer by. The red number on the **My matches** tab counts these.
- **To play:** each match you have still to play, with its day, time and court once the convener has arranged it (**Arranged**), or the date to play it by (**To play**). A match being played now says **In play**. A match that is ready to play has **Score this match** at the end of its row (**Carry on scoring** once it has started). It offers **Score now**, which opens the scorer on your phone, or **Show code**, which shows the match's QR code and code so someone else can score it on their phone: see [Score or watch a match with its code](https://sportsclubos.net/help/competitions/score-with-a-code/index.md).
- **Recent results:** your last eight, each with **W** or **L**, the score and how far your rating moved.
- **Open to you:** competitions you can still enter.

Press any match to open it. From there you can enter its result, score it live, or see your opponent's contact details if they share them. See [Enter a match result](https://sportsclubos.net/help/competitions/enter-a-result/index.md).

## Answer a ladder challenge

1. Under **Waiting for you**, press **Answer**. The match opens and says, for example, **Marcus Lindqvist (place 3) has challenged Alex Marlow (place 2). An answer is due by Tue, 27 Oct.**
2. Press **Accept**. The message **Accepted. Now find a time to play.** appears, and the match moves to **To play**.

Or press **No thanks**, then **Press again to give up the place**. Turning a challenge down gives the challenger the place, so it is recorded as a walkover to them.

## Challenge someone on a ladder

1. Open the ladder from Club > Competitions > All competitions.
2. On the **Ladder** tab, press **Challenge** beside the player you want to play. It appears beside anyone you may challenge. Beside others it says why not, for example **More than 3 places above you** or **Already has a challenge to play**.
3. The message **Challenge sent** appears and the challenge opens. It says when an answer is due.

You can have one challenge at a time, and so can the person you challenge.

> **Your club decides:** each ladder's rules: how many places above you can be challenged, how many days there are to answer and to play, and whether the winner takes the place or the two swap. The **Rules** tab says them in words.

## Enter a competition

1. Open Club > Competitions > All competitions and press the competition, or press it under **Open to you** on My matches.
2. Press the gold button at the top:
   - **Enter**, where you go straight in. The message says **You are entered**.
   - **Join**, for a ladder or box league already under way. You start at the bottom: **You are in, at the bottom to start with**.
   - **Ask to enter**, where the convener approves each entry (usual in an event with grades). The message says **Sent to the organiser to approve**, and the button becomes **Waiting for the organiser · cancel**. The convener may put you in a different grade.

You can enter singles yourself. A doubles pair is entered by the convener. While entries are open you can **Withdraw** on the **Players** tab.

> **Note:** Once a knockout draw or a round robin's fixtures are made, nobody else can enter. Ask the convener.

## Sit out a round of a box league

In a box league you are in, press **Sit out next round** at the top. You keep playing the round you are in, and come back in at the bottom when you return. Press **Back in for next round** to change your mind.

## Sharing your contact details

Tick **Share my mobile and email with people I am drawn against, so we can arrange our match.** The message says **People you are drawn against can now see your mobile and email**.

They are shown only under **Get in touch** in a match you have still to play, to the player or pair you are drawn against, and only while you leave the tick on. Nobody else sees them, the convener included. If your opponent has not ticked it, the match says so and suggests leaving a note at the club or asking the convener to pass a message on.

Untick it to stop: **Your contact details are no longer shared**.

## The club rankings

Open Club > Competitions > Club rankings and choose the sport: **Squash**, **Tennis**, **Padel**, **Pickleball**, **Badminton** or **Snooker**. Each player is listed with their club rating, the number of rated matches and their last five results. Press a name to see their results in that sport.

*Juniors are shown by first name and initial, here and everywhere in competitions. Shown in release 2026.10.29 · Competitions · as a member.*

How the rating works is in [Club ratings](https://sportsclubos.net/help/competitions/ratings/index.md).

## If something goes wrong

- **"Your membership needs to be active to enter."** Renew your membership, or ask the club office.
- **"Entries have closed."** The draw or fixtures are made. Ask the convener.
- **"Doubles pairs are entered by the organiser."** Ask the convener to enter you and your partner.
- **You did not hear about a challenge.** Sports Club OS sends no emails or texts about competitions. Look at My matches.

> **Not built yet:** A challenge you do not answer in time does not lapse by itself. The convener decides what happens.
