# Reading the club's figures

> For the committee and the Reporting role: your Dashboard, Committee reports, report pages shared with you, and asking the AI Report Assistant.

Who this is for: Anyone with “Committee reports” or “Build reports” or “AI Report Assistant” or “Share report pages” or “Download report figures” (by default: Administrator, Head Coach, Casual Staff, Sports Convener, Reporting, Treasurer).

Committee members and others who read the club's figures use Sports Club OS's reports: how many members there are, what came in, how the courts are used, and the rest. Nothing is typed in for a report: every figure is worked out from the club's records each time you look. Reports only read, so nothing you do on them changes anything.

The Reporting role is made for this. By default it sees the member list, bookings, invoices, functions and the till's sales, and the figures of every area, and can build, share and download reports and ask the AI Report Assistant. It changes nothing. Your club may give the reports to other roles too.

## Where things are

When you sign in, Sports Club OS opens your **Dashboard**.

| In the menu | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Club > Dashboard | Your own widgets: one large figure each, opening out for more |
| Reports > Committee reports | The club's standing figures: **Membership**, **Income** and **Court use** |
| Reports > Report pages | Pages of widgets you made, or that someone shared with your role |
| Reports > AI Report Assistant | Ask a question about the figures in your own words, when the club has it switched on |

You may also see the member list, bookings, invoices, functions, the till's sales and the bank reconciliation, to look at, not to change.

## 1. Your Dashboard

The Dashboard is yours alone: add the widgets you care about with **Add a widget**, hide the rest, and put them in the order you want. Press a widget's corner button to open it out. Press a bar, a point or the main figure to see the records behind it. See [Your Dashboard and its widgets](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/dashboard/index.md).

## 2. Committee reports

Reports > Committee reports has the figures most committees ask for, in three tabs: **Membership**, **Income** and **Court use**. See [Committee reports](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/committee-reports/index.md).

## 3. Report pages

A report page is a set of widgets to keep, print and share, such as a monthly pack for the committee. Start one from a ready-made template (Treasurer's monthly, Committee pack, AGM and others), or from a blank page, and share it with the roles that should see it. Each person sees only the figures their own roles allow. See [Report pages, and sharing them](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/report-pages/index.md) and [Make your own widget](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/make-a-widget/index.md).

To take figures into a spreadsheet, press **Download** on a report page. Every download is recorded. See [Download figures and the rows behind them](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/download/index.md).

## 4. Ask the AI Report Assistant

Ask a question such as "How many juniors joined this year?". The assistant answers in plain words, shows the figures it used and the assumptions it made, and offers a widget for your Dashboard. It reads, and changes nothing. See [Ask the AI Report Assistant](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/assistant/index.md).

## Reading the figures

- **"Members"** always means current members and those awaiting renewal, never lapsed or cancelled people.
- **"<5"** in place of a figure means a group of people too small to show without risking identifying someone. It is shown to people who cannot see the member list, so someone you share a page with may see it where you do not. See [Why some figures show "<5"](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/small-numbers/index.md).
- Two reports can give different totals when they count different things or different days. See [Why do two reports give different totals?](https://sportsclubos.net/help/reports/q-different-totals/index.md)

## Who to ask

- The treasurer, for the club's accounts, which are kept outside Sports Club OS.
- The club's administrator, for logins and what your role may see.
- **Help and feedback**, the button at the top right, for how to do something in Sports Club OS.
