# I signed up but can't see my membership

> A login you make yourself waits for the club office to approve it, and must use the email address the club holds for you to find your membership.

Most often your new login is waiting for the club office to approve it. The office checks each new login against its member records before it can book courts or see invoices, so nobody can sign up as someone else.

## Your Home page says "Your account is waiting for approval"

The club office has not approved your login yet. The page says **The club office checks each new account against its member records. You'll be able to book courts and see your invoices as soon as it's approved.**

Press **Check again** after a while, or sign in again later. Once it is approved, Home shows your membership and **Make booking**. If it is taking longer than you expect, contact the club office.

## Your Home page says "Portal access was not approved"

The club office did not approve your login, usually because it could not match it to a member. Contact the club office.

## Home says "No membership on file"

Your login is approved, but it is not linked to the record that holds your membership. This happens when you signed up with an email address the club does not have for you: Sports Club OS then makes a new record for you, with no membership on it.

Contact the club office and tell them the email address you signed up with. They can link your login to your member record, and your membership then appears.

To avoid this, sign up with the email address the club sends your invoices and newsletters to.

## You never typed the code from the email

When you make a login, Sports Club OS emails you a code to check the address is yours. Until you type it, the login is not finished. Sign in again: Sports Club OS sends a new code and asks for it on the page. If the email has not arrived, press **Send it again**. See [Sign in, and reset a forgotten password](https://sportsclubos.net/help/getting-started/signing-in/index.md).

*For anyone who can: “Add and change members”*

## For the club office

New logins waiting for approval are on Club > Members > Portal sign-ups, under **pending**. Each shows the person's name, email, member number and status, or **No membership on file** if their email matched no member. Press **Approve** or **Reject**. A sign-up whose email matches an existing member is linked to that record automatically.

To link a login to a different member record, open it on Admin > Users and change its **Member record**. That needs the permission to manage users and roles.
