# Which release you are on, and what a screenshot's release line means

> Each version of Sports Club OS has a release name, shown in your account menu, and every Help article and screenshot says which release it shows.

Who this is for: Anyone: no sign-in needed.

Sports Club OS changes through the year. Each version put out for clubs to use is a **release**, named by the date it was made: **2026.10.23** is the release of 23 October 2026.

## See which release your club is on

Press your initials at the top right of any page. The foot of the account menu says, for example, **Sports Club OS · Release 2026.10.23**. Point at it to see the release's full name, such as **Release 2026.10.23-794e501**: when two releases are made on one day, the letters and digits after the date tell them apart.

The release is the same for everyone at your club, because everyone uses the same Sports Club OS. When you send feedback through **Help and feedback**, the release you were on goes with it, so whoever reads it knows which version you saw.

## In the Help centre

- **Under each article's title**, "Last checked in release 2026.10.23, on 23 October 2026" says which release the steps were last walked through against.
- **Under each screenshot**, a line such as "Shown in release 2026.10.23 · Make booking · as a member" says which release the picture was taken in, which page it shows, and who was signed in. The pictures are taken on an invented club, so the names and figures in them are made up.

If your club's release is newer than an article's, the article may describe an earlier version of a page. Where the words on your screen differ from an article's, the screen is right. Use **Help and feedback** to say which article is out of date.

## When a new release arrives

A new release reaches your club without anyone doing anything. Reload a page that has been open a long time to get the newest version of it. A release can add something new. Anything new that needs a permission starts with the roles it is given by default, and your club can change that on Roles & permissions.

> **Not built yet:** a What's new page listing what changed in each release.
