WATCH WITH A CODE

Let others watch with a code

Press Share at the top of the scorer. Anyone you give the code to sees the score change, point by point, on their own phone.

  • A code and a QR code.Sharing gives a code such as Q-7K3MX and a QR code to scan.
  • Watch, not score.Watchers scan the QR code, or type the code at sportsclubos.net/score under Enter a code. They cannot change the score.
  • Stop when you like.Stop sharing deletes the shared copy at once. Otherwise it is deleted a day after the last point.
  • The result, your way.At the end, Email the result opens your own email app, and Share the result opens the phone’s share sheet. Sports Club OS sends nothing.

IN YOUR CLUB

The same scorer in your club’s competitions

Clubs on Sports Club OS score their competition matches with the same scorer, and more follows from each point.

  • A code for each match. Each competition match has its own code and QR code. The first phone to start scoring it scores; every phone that opens it after that watches live.
  • Printed code cards. The convener prints A4 cards with each match’s players, round, court, time, QR code and code.
  • Court TVs and wallboards. The court’s TV scoreboard and the foyer wallboards follow every point, and show the match’s code.
  • Results that count.Recording the result moves the draw, the table or the ladder, and the club rating.
  • The club’s own rules. The club chooses which formats and older or local rules its competitions offer.

QUESTIONS

Questions about the free match scorer

Step-by-step instructions are in the Help centre: Score a quick match on your phone.

Is the scorer free?

Yes. Anyone can use it, at a club or not, with no account and no sign-in. It carries the Sports Club OS name.

Which sports can it score?

Squash, tennis, padel, pickleball and badminton, singles or doubles (padel is doubles only). Each is scored by its current rulebook, with older and local rules as options.

What is kept, and where?

The match is kept in your phone’s browser. If you share it, the sport, the rules, the names and the score are held so others can watch, and deleted 24 hours after the last point. Nothing is listed or searchable, and no email address is kept.

Can others watch?

Yes. Press Share and give them the code or the QR code. They see the score as it changes and cannot change it.

Can two phones score the same match?

No. A quick match is scored on the phone that made it, and everyone else watches. In a club’s competition, the first phone to start scoring a match scores it, and every phone after that watches.

Is there an app?

Not in the app stores yet. Add the scorer to your phone’s home screen from the browser.

Does a quick match count in our club’s results?

Not yet. A quick match is not linked to any club. For results that count, run the match as part of a competition in Sports Club OS, where each match has its own code. Start a free competition.

WHY FREE?

Why these tools are free

We make our living from the full club system. The free tools are free because clubs that use them tell us how to make them better, and some later ask about the rest. They carry our name on the screen. That is the whole arrangement.
