Why is my menu different from someone else's?

Your menu shows only what your roles allow, so a member, a bar staff member and the treasurer each see a different menu. Two people with the same roles see the same sections and links. If yours is missing something you need, ask the club's administrator.

You hold different roles

Each person holds one or more roles, such as Bar Staff, Treasurer or Sports Convener, and each role allows some pages. A link appears only when one of your roles allows its page. A section appears only when it has at least one link for you.

A role given to you recently shows once you sign out and sign in again, or within the hour, when Sports Club OS renews your sign-in. See How roles and permissions decide what you see, and Roles and their starting permissions for what each role starts with.

Your club changed what a role allows

The club's administrator can change what each role allows, on Roles & permissions. So the same role can show more or less at your club than the Help centre's lists of starting permissions say. A change takes effect within a few seconds: open another page, or reload, to see it.

You are a member, or on the staff roster, and they are not

• Me appears for members, staff on the roster and coaches. Its pages are about you alone.
• Members see their membership, bookings, classes, matches, invoices and purchases under Me, once the club has approved their login.
• Staff portal under Me appears once the bar manager has added you as staff with the email address you sign in with, or for a coach once the club has added you as a coach.

A section is folded, not missing

Sections fold open and closed when you press their heading, and Sports Club OS remembers your choice in that browser. On a short screen, some sections start closed so the menu fits. Press the heading to open it. The section holding the page you are on always opens.

On a phone, the menu is hidden until you press the menu button at the top left.

Something is switched on or off for your club

• Help and feedback in the top bar appears only while it is switched on for your club.
• AI Report Assistant under Reports appears only when it is switched on, and only for the roles allowed to use it.
• View live under Website appears once the club's website is set up.

The search box finds it

Press the search box at the top right, or Ctrl+K, and type the page's name. Search finds only the pages you may open, so if it finds nothing, your roles do not allow that page.

What to do

Ask the club's administrator for the role that allows what you need, or for your role to allow it. Nobody else can change what you see.
