Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in Sports Club OS, page by page: search, menus, the roster, Make booking, the till, the website editor, the boards and more.

Who this is for: Anyone who signs in to Sports Club OS.

Most of Sports Club OS can be used from the keyboard. This page lists the shortcuts it adds, page by page. Where a key works the same on a Mac with Cmd in place of Ctrl, the page says so; elsewhere, use Ctrl.

Everywhere

KeysWhat they do
Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac)Puts the cursor in the search box at the top of the page. On a phone it opens the search box.
Down and Up, then EnterIn the search box: move through the pages and members found, and open the one highlighted.
EscapeClears and closes the search box. Closes the account menu, the side menu on a phone or tablet, and most side panels.
EnterIn Help and feedback: sends your message. Shift+Enter starts a new line. Escape closes the panel while you are typing in it.

There is no Ctrl+Z to undo anything, and no Ctrl+S to save. Where a change can be undone, an Undo button shows in the message that confirms it.

The right-click menu

Shifts and slots on the roster, your own bookings on Make booking, saved filters on Members, a tab on the till and a report page's More all open the same kind of menu.

HowWhat it does
Right-click, or the … buttonOpens the menu.
A long press (half a second) on a touch screenOpens the menu. Moving your finger cancels it.
The Menu key, or Shift+F10Opens the menu for the item that has keyboard focus.
Down and Up, Home and EndMove through the menu. Greyed items are skipped and say why they cannot be used.
EnterChooses the item.

Weekly roster

KeysWhat they do
Ctrl+C (Cmd+C)Copies the shift or slot that has focus, or the picked slot: its times, position, note, name and every place.
Ctrl+V (Cmd+V)Pastes a new draft copy at the same start time: on the day under the mouse pointer, or else on the day after the last paste, so pressing it again fills the week day by day.
EnterOn a shift: opens it. On a slot: picks it and shows who could fill it. On a person on a slot: opens their shift.
Up and DownMove the shift or slot 15 minutes earlier or later.
Shift+Up and Shift+DownChange only the finish time, by 15 minutes.
Left and RightMove it to the day before or after.
Delete or BackspaceOn a person on a slot: takes them off and leaves the place open.
EscapeLets go of the picked slot.

A move by the arrow keys is saved a moment after you stop pressing them. Copy and paste do nothing while you are typing in a field or have a panel or dialog open, and Ctrl+C copies selected words as usual when there are any. Nothing moves onto or off a day that has passed. See Build the week's roster.
