The till says it is offline

The till has lost its internet connection. Keep selling: it keeps the sales on the tablet and sends them when the connection is back.

Who this is for: Anyone with “Use the till” (by default: Administrator, Head Coach, Casual Staff, Bar Manager, Bar Staff).

The till has lost its connection to the internet. Keep selling: cash, EFTPOS, account charges, prepaid credit and tabs all work, and the till sends the sales as soon as the connection returns. Keep the till's page open until then.

Why it happens, and what to check

  1. The tablet's Wi-Fi or mobile data has dropped. Check the tablet's connection, or the club's internet. When it returns, the till says Back online. and sends what it kept.
  2. The internet is slow rather than down. The till goes offline when it cannot reach Sports Club OS, and comes back by itself. Nothing needs doing.

What you cannot do until it is back

Sell court or table time, take guest fees owing, hire out equipment, take in restringing, top up credit, refund or void, and open or close a session. Their buttons say Needs the connection, or the till says That needs the connection.

If sales are still waiting

  • The band at the top says how many are waiting, for example 2 waiting to send. Press it to see them and Send now.
  • "2 kept sales were not accepted." Look at each one in the list: it says why. Press Try again, or Throw away for one that should not be sent, and put it through again as a new sale if it was a real sale.
  • "That sale was made more than a day ago. Put it through again as a new sale." A sale kept offline must be sent by the next day.
  • You cannot close the session. It closes only once everything has been sent. Wait for the connection.

See Selling while the connection is down.
