How to

Set your email signature

Add your own signature to the emails you send from an inbox. It goes below your words on emails only, never on a text.

Who this is for: Anyone with “Use the member inbox” or “Send text messages” (by default: Administrator, Casual Staff, Treasurer).

A signature is a few lines added below your words on every email you send from an inbox. Each person has their own. It is never added to a text.

Add or change yours

  1. Open Club > Communications > Inbox.
  2. Press Settings at the foot of the folder column (on a phone, the gear at the top of the list), then My email signature. In a reply box, Add one or Change it beside the line about your signature opens the same panel.
  3. Under Paste your signature, or type its HTML, paste the signature. You can copy it from Outlook or Gmail and paste it here: it keeps its look. Or type its HTML.
  4. Under How it will look, check it.
  5. Press Save signature.

The signature goes below your words on emails sent from now on, in the reply box and in New message. What was already sent is not changed, because the conversation keeps what was actually sent.

What is taken out

Sports Club OS keeps only what is safe in an email. Anything that could run, or load something from another site without being asked, is taken out. Under the box, Taken out, because it cannot safely go in an email: lists what was removed.

A picture must be at an address starting https://. A picture pasted in from your computer cannot be kept: put it on a web page the club controls, such as its website, and use that address.

If something goes wrong

  • Your signature looks different from what you pasted. Part of it was taken out, as the note under the box says. The preview under the box is what will be sent.
  • A picture is missing. It was pasted from a computer and not given as a web address.
